Odin was considered to be a god chief from Norse paganism. His role, just like other Norse pantheons was very complex. As a god of wisdom, war, battle and death he also was attested to be the god of magic, poetry, prophecy, and victory. As Odin was connected with a horse and spear, he also was connected with the transformation/shape shifting and was able to transform into animal shapes. The alternative theory of origin or background information shows that Odin showed key characteristics that were placed all the way back into the sixth century as a nightmareish horse god. Later on he changed into the eight legged Sleipnir. Odin original function of the horse was to carry the dead to where ever they needed to go, and he sometimes would eat their flesh.
I believe that Odin was a true character shape shifter, and was able to transform from one animal to another. It would make sense that the dead people would need someone to help them get to were they would need to go, and what better person then a shape shifter. Also there is evidence of Odin all the way back into the sixth century, so that should be a little more intriguing as to if it was real or not.
Had problems finding stuff on this!!!
I would prepare my mind and body for the great transformation that I would be applying to my body. It would take time to help decide on what shape I would want to turn into, as well as how long I would like to take that form. Then once I had picked animal and what purpose my shape would be for then I would apply the transformation. First I’d close my eyes and drift into a dream like state, as if trying to figure out what I must do within my own mind and body. Then I would transform into a rabbit and the main purpose of becoming a rabbit would be to fly into space and help protect the solar system. And yea, it sounds weird but it needs protection as much as we do.Sources:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapeshifting
